No Sirius so what use that not FM/AM?

Hello:

figuring out all the things with this GLB is a challenge.

Question is about satellite radio. The vehicle did not come with MBUX or Sirius satellite radio and after going through vehicle menus, does not appear we can add satellite radio. So we have no feature for satellite radio?

There is AM, FM, and TuneIn radio. I think the TuneIn uses data from the vehicle wifi hotspot. Is this true or is it a version of a satellite radio service?

I have read than some people are just using Sirius radio through their cellphones and playing through the wired USB connection to the vehicle through Apple CarPlay.

Any advise on what you all are using that is not AM or FM would be appreciated.

Tad

We use the Sirius XM app through Apple CarPlay. I didn’t do my due diligence when going over the car’s features and assumed it came with Sirius. (you know what they say about assuming!) If we’re just making a quick trip, e.g., less than five minutes, then we just use the radio.

TuneIn uses data from the hotspot which you need to pay monthly fees for.
You could use Bluetooth though, and play anything via your iPhone (e.g. Spotify or whatever)
