GLB Front Console Sliding Cover

I've noticed that in almost every piece of promotional material, the front console of the GLB has a sliding cover for the cupholders and USB ports, etc. This is very picky but I hate exposed cupholders. It appears that no actual 2020 has this cover. I did see this 2021 GLB review from the UK on YouTube and it does have the cover (see 10:23 of video below). Additionally, I keep seeing it in all 2021 GLB 35 reviews. Does anyone know if this is a 2021 thing or if for some reason it still won't be included in the 2021 production vehicle? Although picky and very specific, I'm a little surprised I haven't been able to find anything about the missing cover. Maybe I should reach out to a dealer?

Thanks!

Dan

It's region-specific. Some regions, like the US, don't seem to get it.

You're right! I just looked up GLBs for sale in Europe and South America and they all have the sliding cover. It appears that in Canada and the US it does not. The cover is nice also to hide anything left in the car. Regional differences like this BOGGLE my mind. Another frustrating one is that you CANNOT get black leather with the AMG package in the US. In Canada, you can. I typically buy BMWs but am interested in the GLB because I need a narrow SUV but I want black leather with the AMG package and the sliding cover!

wonder what this part number would cost to add. I would love to hide my cup holders and cubby.

You can get black leather with the AMG package (at least for me non-Night Package), that's what I have on order.

this is a bit of a late reply, but I just received my 2021 GLB and it doesn’t have a sliding console cover and I would really like to have one. I tried contacting MB USA to see if they have plans to add them in the future, but I didn’t get anywhere with my inquiry. Anyone have any advice on how to get a cover?

I do not believe this option is available in US. You would probably have to find it from EU retailers.
Plus you would have to change cover and guts of your center council. You would need part 350 (left side of the diagram) plus all the misc. parts.
