2017 Volvo XC90
2021 GLB250 vs 2020 GLE350

Newbie here. I know this comparison is not exactly apples to apples but I wanted to get your thoughts. Im currently driving a volvo xc90 which I LOVE but i was looking to maybe go for something a bit sportier and more fun to drive. I had a GLK before the volvo and did like it though it wasnt super exciting as far the interior and the display were concerned. I drove the glb this past weekend - w the amg styling package, wheels etc and I like the look of it. The gle is more of the size I would like to stick with but ive read mixed reviews on how great of a drive it actually is. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Mercedes GLE 2017
I’m on the same boat. I really want a GLE350 2020 but I’m worried about the engine size on it. I’m also worried about quality issues so I’ve decided not to purchase the GLE350 until 2024 if I’m still interested.

I’m now considering the GLB 2020.

If you are switching cars because you want a sportier drive then I think getting the GLE with a bigger and faster engine would be best.

I owned a 2020 GE450. Traded it for a GLB35 AMG...month later traded the GLB in for a 2021 GLE. The GLE is amazing. With that said I'm old with a creeky back and the smaller sportier car was killing me physically. The AMG was fun as hell to drive though.

2024 GLE, 2022 GLC , 2022 GLC
My daughter has a GLB and I just bought a GLE 350. There is no comparison between the two cars in terms of overall size. The GLE is a much nicer vehicle at a much higher price point. The 350 is fine in terms of sufficient power, I’ve read many threads questioning the 4 cylinder engine being underpowered for a 4600 pound vehicle. For real driving situations it is much more than adequate. The GLB on the other hand is a great vehicle, very roomy, a roomier feel than my GLC that I just traded in. Looks are a matter of personal preference, I happen to like the boxy look of the GLB. Either of these 2 vehicles are a great choice and I would buy either one of them again. It just depends on how badly the money is burning a hole in your pocket as to which one to go for. In any case best of luck in whatever you do.

2021 GLB 250
We have the GLB and really like it. I wouldn't necessarily call it "sporty" but it's definitely nimble. There is a lot of interior room and the car is comfortable. Now, the GLE is a couple slots above the GLB in the MB pecking order and it shows in the materials used. With that being said, I feel that the GLB is an excellent SUV for families looking for a premium car from a luxury brand. IMO, the GLB is a very nice Mercedes, but not necessarily a luxurious Mercedes. The GLE is definitely a luxurious Mercedes. I think they're both excellent choices.
