Question on current price paid

Hello,
I'm considering the 2021 GLA 250 (which is really a variant of the GLB 250), but the GLA thread doesn't get much traffic so I figured I would try here since pricing is fairly similar. I was told the best they can do right now is 5% off due to very low supply (plus an additional fleet incentive). I was quoted an initial discount back in December closer to 10% off, but was told today due to the low supply, lack of supply chain for sensors, etc., they can't go any better than that. Has anybody else been told something similar lately? It's a dealer I trust (have bought 2 other Mercedes). This will be build, not an on-lot purchase. New Jersey/ Philadelphia, PA area here. Thank you!

Im from San Diego CA, I choose the GLB 250 over the GLA. Its Bigger and spacious inside. Better looking and more interesting design.

I just bought one a week ago.
Answering your question, NO. This is my 3rd MB same dealer. And NO similar story. 😞

The price was Around 38,400 dlls before taxes.
Plus the taxes was around 43,000 dlls. We do the sale at 40,000 dlls out the door.
My interest with my Bank is 3.9%.

I choose the Gap insurance
And the Maintenance package for 4 years.
( Iknow.... My bad &#128544

I wanna get the Extended warranty but I don't know if after purchase I can get it.

Obviously prices vary by market. In socal, you should be able to do 12-13% with some effort. Lower MSRP will probably get less discount. You should try a broker if you don't have much time to work out a deal.
Even on Truecar, you should be around 9% easy. The chip issue is real for some brands, don't think Mercedes is one the affected ones.
What is real is that its a sellers market right now (tax season, stimulus, post-covid demand, chip issue, rubber issue, etc.) I would wait a couple of months for things to settle down if you are not in a hurry.

I'm in discussions with an MB dealership in Columbia MO, I live in downtown Chicago. I have specific requirements for my build such as color and options. The one I'm considering is $66,415. I asked about a discount and they said they could deliver the car to me in Chicago and drive my trade back to MO. No need to even leave home. I figured since I would be saving time and some $ that no discount vs. the convenience of having it delivered to me at home was a decent tradeoff.
I've looked everywhere in the country for certain color (Patagonia Red) and with nearly all option packages and the only PR was in Texas. I also tried a build thru MB here in Chicago and 2021 is closed for new builds and too early for 2022 pricing. Delivery wouldn't be until OCT/NOV.

We bought our GLB back in March and received a slight discount. Now, with the current state of the market, I'm not sure dealers will be willing to discount very much off of MSRP. In fact, I saw an AMG GLC at our local dealer with a +10K market adjustment.

We're driving down to Columbia MO tomorrow to trade our Macan in on 21 GLB AMG 35. they gave $2K off of their sticker of $66,417. $59,500 for our Macan GTS in trade.

Correction- they actually kept the price of the MLB the same and upped the $ amount they gave us for our 18 Macan GTS. We got more $ than what we paid for it 8 months ago- Either way, it worked out. Love our GLB.

I was able to get 13% on a GLB35. Build was rather light so I think that worked in my favor. Only 55k msrp, no nav, no pano, no
parking sensors.
