GLB35 Check Engine Light on Again
At 1,500 miles, the check engine light appeared on my GLB35. The car went in for service and the cause was said to be a defective purge value.
At 2,900 miles the light came on again. They are picking the car up for service next week. I'll post back on the diagnosis, as I've seen others post here with the same check engine light issue on the GLB35.

My dealer mentioned they are very well aware of the issue and have the part stocked up.

The dealer called to say that the check engine light this time is attributable to a misfire, so they need to replace an engine coil which, of course, had to be ordered. I'll post the service details when I get the car back, which isn't expected until Friday.

Just got the car back from the dealer. Here is the repair description:
Customer states check engine light is on again. Please check and advise. Confirmed customer's concern. Connected SDS and battery charger and performed a short test and found fault code P035496 for the actuation of ignition. Coil 4 has an electrical fault or open circuit. There is an internal component fault. Went through the guided test plan and found Coil 4 faulty. Disconnected the battery and removed and installed the air intake tube and removed and replaced ignition coil 4 and retested. All OK.

I am glad it wasn't the valve again! My dealer mentioned they are stocking up the part because they have seen it so often. I was a bit worried that I may need to go back for the same issue.
