Removing Sport sound

Hey folks - just got a 2021 GLB250 with the Sport Package. Apparently it pumps thru some fake engine sounds through the speakers. Anyone know how to disable that? Don't really care for that.

Thanks!

This place is a joke.
If you remove it, you will lose 12 horsepower.

I wonder if you turn the stereo off- or mute the speakers, if the sound will still come out ??

You can do that through coding, Theres this authorized center and your order online the OBD dongle and they send you the code. You just connect it to your car and Removes it automatically.

Thanks all. Vasquez, looked into coding...it's not like BMW where you can code yourself, looks like I'll need to pay some good $ to have it removed. So, I guess I'll live with it.

The sound seems to still be there when the volume is off. I haven't owned a 4 cyl car in 15 years, forgot how whiny they are.

Just asking, are speakers important for you in the car... because... I was thinking ..... (just kidding, most certainly you need functional speakers)

YES COST YOU 160 DLLS PLUS 5 MORE CODES. EXAMPLE:
AMG mode in ( non amg)
Stop/On funtion turn it offSport + Mode ( activate)
Carwash mode ( activate)
Exhaust sound ( off or ON)
Adaptive Cruise control ( if you dont have it)

Etc etc.. for 160 dlls. I think is not that expensive.

I was also looking to disable this feature. I found several articles stating it is something in the system. I found a reference to other models stating there is a fuse that you can also remove, but nothing on the GLB specifically. So I started searching for a fuse panel diagram. I haven't opened mine to see if there is a built in diagram, but I can't find any diagrams on the fuse panel from google search.

Any else have any luck in disabling this feature?

FYI it only shows as an options for non AMG:
38. Engine Sound System enable(Non AMG only) - 1 Credit
• Enable the synthetic engine sound to be played through the speakers to make the engine sound sporty

Fuse Panel Diagram is tucked in the corner inside the fuse box in a small pocket. I think it is left corner closer to the front windshield.

I think what Donoban was trying to suggest is that, if it takes coding to add that feature in, it might need the same to disable it.

I will be checking out your service. I looks easy enough. shows you guys on vacation right now though.

Can dealer tell that the system has been updated? deny claims/coverage?

I did a few activations with RJAutomotive.... they are rock solid. Did AMG Menus on Instrument Panel and also activated Start Stop / Individual Mode Remember Last setting... All working flawlessly.

RJAutomotive highly recommended. I hope not to have problems with warranty coverage if I needed in the future.

I already talk to them. I will do the coding.

AMG Cluster ( 5 credits)
Stop and Go off ( 1 credit)

My GLB 250 , AMG Package. NO Navigation.

What is included in the AMG cluster option, Just the Theme in the Odometers? Because it cost 5 credits.

Those 2 are the only ones I like.
The rest are for AMG models.

If you steering wheel's multi function switch has a button to set distance to car in front (like picture below), you have active cruise control, if not you would have to swap the switches first prior to coding.

Did you get this done? Are you happy with the results?

I have the GLB 35 so I was thinking of getting the Race Mode, Carwash, and Adaptive Cruise.

For the low price of.... over $1k I'm sure but Donoban is right, without coding it out you'll never get it removed.

the ludicrous sport sound (I am not a teenager anymore and I want PEACE AND QUIET!!!) comes through a small about 3" speaker in the under-dash panel above the drivers right foot (RHD / UK car)....I disconnected it and sure enough peace reigned....but unfortunately it also stopped the indicator clicking noise and the front parking beeps so I had to re-connect it

Sometimes you cannot win.
If you get desperate enough you can code it out with RJ Automotive, as long as you are willing to spend L160.

I am in the UK....sounds like a lot of money just to do that
I asked the dealer to do it but they resolutely state it cannot be done which is of course
