2021 GLB STOCK / 2022 GLB PREORDER

Hi everyone.

i’m in the market for a GLB250 4matic with a few options, like pano roof, 64 ambient, heated seats, and 19” wheels.

Been searching around for 2021 models but no dealers are budging saying the same thing over and over, microchip issues and inventory shortage issues, which I understand since I myself know about the issue very well as I work for a different car manufacture. However, since all dealers are already taking 2022 model preorders, I feel like something can be done with 2021 models.

If anyone know where I can get a good deal on either a 2021 stock or even on a 2022 preorder, please let me know. I’m located in Georgia but I’m willing to go to any state in the east coast for the right deal.

Thanks for your time everyone 😊

2021 Glb35 AMG (2013 GLK 350)
I don't know if you bought yours or not. I would check cargurus, truecar, etc around where you live to see if you can any deals. I got 6% off MSRP in July that way... Leasehacker website was saying that there is no MB inventory, so prices are at MSRP and above... BMW sent me $1000 off MSRP deal recently...

Also per German website, 2022 orders will be missing below options. I see that even German GLB's come from Mexico, so I assume it will be similar elsewhere...

https://mbpassion.de/2021/11/aenderu...11-bestellbar/

Changes to the GLB identical to the other compact models

In 2022 models, the GLB will no longer have the electrically adjustable driver's seat with memory function, as will the variant for the front passenger (code 242 or 275) due to the global semiconductor problem. The memory function of the seats is currently only available in conjunction with the AMG variant.

The MBUX high-end package also does not include the wireless charging system for mobile devices (code 897) or the MBUX augmented reality function for navigation (code U19). Here, too, Mercedes-Benz is reducing the equipment price of the package accordingly, as is also the case with the other compact models for the modification year 2022. The previously available 20 ″ light alloy wheel in 5-spoke design (Code 96R) for the GLB can no longer be ordered in the future.
Apart from the omission of equipment, there are basically no changes.

If you don't mind traveling to the midwest, Google Mercedes dealers by state. On quick search, a dealer in Chicago showed 18 GLB for sale, either in stock or in transit. https://www.loebermercedes.com/searc...Model=GLB&pt=2
A dealer in Cleveland, Ohio shows 15 available, though some are loaner demos. https://www.mbzno.com/new-vehicles/glb/

My 2022 GLB came with electrically adjustable driver's seat with memory function, as well as wireless charging. When we went to the dealer looking at a 2021, he brought up a list of 2022's that were already built and were ready to ship to the US, he filtered them based on our desires and we found one that the options we were looking for. He stated that it was only the 2022 MY that were built after 11/05/2021 that will be missing those features. Since ours was built prior to that date, we did get those features.

I’ve seen a number of build sheets with $700 credit for missing seat options, presumably for the power memory seat, but it’s the current In production models and not all of them. Plenty should still have the full power memory front.

I just talked to a dealer about a custom order. Quoted June delivery. Not sure if I buy that estimate.

This is the codes I’ve see in some cars

I’m not sure exactly what it says but I think it says kinetic. It might simply be lacking lumbar support or it might be full power seats. As for as i know none with this code have arrived at dealerships yet.

Wow no power liftgate either. I talked to my dealer today and he said that the -$700 code means that it will be manual seats.

I believe that the $300 credit is for missing lift gate foot sensor, not that lift gate will be manual.

Unfortunately that's the same code that has been on GLAs without the power liftgate. I believe you haven't been able to get hands-free liftgate for a while now

I just looked at (2) new GLBs in Florida. Both have the credits for the seats/liftgate. One dealer told it will have completely manual seats, but I don't think he actually verified that. Interesting take on the lift gate.

Vlad, I was at the dealer yesterday in SoCal and checked out the 2022 GLB's in stock. The -$300 for the power lift gate is just that. Manual opening only, I tried it. Some also had -$700 for no power seats.

Salesman confirmed there is no way to add them at a later date.

That defeats the definition of a luxury car IMO.

It's a toss up if they will have power seats or lift gate. We have a few that were built in December and early January that have both but it looks like everything finished after about January 10th has neither.

The seats are fully manual as well as the rear lift gate if you see the credits on their build sheet.

Probably not good for resale either down the road.

AMG GLB35s are not impacted on power seat / power lift gate issue.
the regular ones are arriving with them missing and a couple of hundred $ credit.
all of the AMG GLB35 are still being built/delivered with those options without problem.
I'm guessing that MB is rationing the components and prioritizing AMG builds.

I've seen a TikTok where a dealer shows the missing power seat buttons on the door and for the trunk. Basically they have blank buttons in it's place.
