front wipers

Anyone know the correct part numbers for the front wipers of my right hand drive UK spec X247 (220 GLB)?..... the drivers side one says A2478201601 (cant get the passenger side one off at the moment) but Google returns nothing for that part number

my local main dealer here in the UK wants a staggering £60 for them and I refuse to pay that

Have looked for Bosch and Valeo but cant seem to find the correct ones for a right hand drive vehicle - mine are 600mm drivers side and 530mm passenger side (the left hand drive ones have the spoiler fin on the wrong side)

thanks

Even on ebay OEM GLB250 wipers cost between $72 and $110, I imagine right hand side wipers cost very similar. Dealer changed mine a week ago during A service and it was that much.

There is an aftermarket set from Australia on ebay UK that should be right hand side, however the size looks a bit shorter than one you indicated.

yes I saw those but with postage they are even dearer
I have found a couple of MB dealers in the UK who are prepared to sell on ebay....still around the £45 mark but better than our local dealer!

I cant see why they have to be SO expensive....except of course "because they can" and they obviously assume that most owners will just pay up without questioning .....unfortunately I have had to work hard and save hard to buy my car!

Still looking for the "proper" rear mudguards for my GLB.....the front ones have made a tremendous difference....of course the dirty water still gets on the sides but it isnt blasted directly from the tyres and is certainly a lot less

Do we need anti-freeze washer fluid here in Canada since the GLB comes with a heated windshield washer. I bought the antifreeze but am not sure if I should use it.

Thanks

I would think so....even here in the UK where we have quite "mild" winters the washer fluid will freeze as soon as it hits the windscreen......
Personally I use fluid made by BMW as if used neat it doesnt freeze until you get to -63 deg C (the official Mercedes one only goes down to around -29 deg C)....factor in the wind chill and, even here in the UK it can easily get down to -20 ....and, used diluted it isnt that expensive - in fact it is way cheaper than the Mercedes offering
It is designed for spray-jet washers and I have used it for years summer and winter with no problems...

Have to add that I am quite surprised at your question though....I thought your winters were C-O-L-D

I second the use of washer fluid that has antifreeze mixed in. The heater will not help you when you start the car in the freezing morning and you washer fluid is already frozen in the tank and lines.

Haha! Winters have been quite cold till now, with wind chills as low as -32C. However, I had never seen my washer fluid freeze before adding the anti-freeze, but it could be due to multiple factors ( underground parking, maybe it didn't get that cold before I added the anti-freeze, etc.). However, I have added it already ( mixed it with the existing stock fluid ). As long as there is no adverse effect, I will keep doing so

Thanks
