I was wondering if anyone has removed the inside plastic panel of the rear hatch. If so, do you have any photos of the inside of the hatch.
I have a small dent, shown in the photo. The problem is that it looks like the rear camera module would probably be in the way for access.
Are there any issues getting the panel off? It looks like the main lower panel is separate from the upper panels by the window. Before I attempt to gain access, just looking for advice from anyone who has removed the panel.
There are couple of videos on youtube for GLK and E Wagon panel removal (please see below). They both start with popping covers of the plastic handles and removing screws under.
However I am not sure it will help you getting an access to your dent, as the metal panel looks like it is a sandwiched panel.
I checked you tube and nothing specific for the rear hatch panel. I just don't want to attempt this blind without some knowledge even though it may be a simple process.
Also thought about trying to pull a license plate light to look inside but have the same thought process. I don't want to break a tab or whatever trying to pull that off.
For future reference, I found these photos on Ebay of someone selling a stripped rear hatch. May or may not be helpful to anyone needing to gain access at some point.
