Did my 1st oil change on the GLB
I did my first oil change on this car today. Much easier than my C63. There is only 1 cover to remove from the bottom. Oil filter is easy to remove with a socket extension and a 27mm socket. I used a 6 pack of Mobil 1 5w-30 purchased at costco. It drained almost exactly 6qts and I replaced with 6qts. Really easy overall. I think the oil was a little over $30 as it was $10 off at the time. I bought a 2-pack of Mahle filters on ebay (I don't remember what they were, but cheap). Funny thing, the filter that was in the car was made in China. The Mahle filter was made in Bulgaria. Took me about 30 minutes total. I could probably do in 20 minutes next time around.

Well done. Is the drain plug plastic/single use or metal with a crush washer?

Re-usable, copper washer. The plug is much longer than I was expecting. About twice as many threads as the M156 plug. I was pleasantly surprised how close the drain is the front of car. Very easy to get to if your car is on ramps.

Interesting. The M264 4 cylinder, M256 inline 6 and M177 V8 engines use plastic single use plugs.
The M260 in the GLB is a relative of the older generation M274, so the metal drain plug seems to make sense.
