Brake Hold

I just found out about this feature - and no, I did not read the MB manual when I got the car.

So when you're at a traffic light, just push down the brake pedal really hard and a HOLD sign pops up on the dash. Basically your brakes are now on and you can take your foot off the brake. To go, just hit the gas.

I only found this out while stretching my legs at the light. Tell me I'm the only one who didn't know about this!

Ay man I found out that same way I was stretching early in the morning on my way to work. I knew my other cars had it but didn't think that would also be an option for an E300.

This is designed primarily as a "hill hold" feature which I saw in the owner's manual.

It pays to read your owners manual before you drive your brand new vehicle. Doing so will make you aware of all of the features your new vehicle has.

I found this accident on my C63 back in 2016. I think every car should have this feature.

By the time I got the GLB, I already knew about HOLD. But I originally found out about it on this forum.

I learned about it during my test drive. Thought it was a nice feature. Kudos to the eager (new) sales associate for doing a nice job outlining the "special features." the car offered.
