No, you don’t have to use the dealer. Any nationwide auto glass shop can do it. They can even get an OE Mercedes windshield.

Here’s a surprise. If you’re using your comprehensive insurance, the cost to you is the same whether you use the dealer, get an OE windshield at a glass shop, or use the aftermarket glass at the glass shop. If you’re paying for it yourself, the Mercedes glass at the dealer is only about $130 more than the aftermarket glass at the glass shop.
