GLB 250 4matic
GLB ac compressor

So I have a 2020 GLB 250 4matic I just purchased.used.but In great condition till now.my ac compressor and fan went out at 64 almost 65k miles.understandable that usually happens around that much milage.but I dropped my car off at Mercedes Friday at 5pm the 23rd of June.they said they ordered the fan that should’ve arrived Tuesday.it’s now Wendsday..to then say Tuesday that they ordered the ac compressor and should come in Thursday from Germany which seems unbelievable reason all of these waiting games from everyone else.they haven’t even offered a loaner or anything.how long should it take to receive a part from Germany to Georgia USA.please help y’all.I’d like to hear others experiences and see what the deal is.this is my first Mercedes and first Mercedes experience and so far I’m horrified.HELP

If they have to order parts from Germany, 7 to 10 day would be quick. Is this warranty or extended warranty work? I think they should have arranged for a loaner if the work or parts delivery would take more than 2 days. That’s pretty much the standard at all dealers in the Houston area.
The curious part about this is that the AC compressor is the same 3rd party component that has been used on multiple models for years (maybe decades). Why it had to come from Germany and wasn’t in stock at one of the US part’s locations is curious.
Unless the work is being done under a Mercedes warranty that must go to a dealer, I suggest using a German car shop familiar with Mercedes for non-warranty work in the future. AC work that only involves the compressor, coils, blower, etc, (that is anything not involved with the controls or air distribution) can even go to a standard auto AC shop.
An AC system failing at 65k miles is not normal. Mercedes moved to generic AC coolant circuit systems about 20 years ago. These usually last the life of the vehicle. The older ones in just about all German made cars were not very good, to put it nicely.
