Front end clunk at low speed U turns, tight parking lot manoeuvre?

My 2022 GLB35 has the 21" AMG multispoke rims / low profile summer tires factory option. The front end makes loud clunking sound (clunk, clunk, clunk) during low speed U turns and tight parking lot manoeuvres (forward and reverse) when the steering wheel is at or near full lock. The front wheels feel like they are hopping as if something in the drivetrain is locking up multiple times during the turn. Does your GLB do this too? Not sure if it's normal 4Matic behavior, turning wheels running at too little rubber due to the large 21" rims or faulty ball joint / steering coupling issue. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I have not seen it in a Mercedes, but similar clunk clunk in other brands at high wheel angle and low speed can be a symptom of failing clutches in the transfer case.

Sound like I need to take the car to the dealer. Thanks.

Dealer if still under warranty. Otherwise, an indie shop flying a Mercedes banner.

front end clunk

We had the same issue when the temperature dropped below 30 Degrees F. Wound up taking it to the dealer, they couldn't find anything wrong, Other than running Summer tires in the Winter, now that we are in the high 40's, all is well.Bill

It's called "crabbing", and it's common in 4Matic vehicles with summer tires in cool/cold temps. It's addressed by proper AS or winter tires. I had it on my 21 GLB35 when I bought it used on a cold, wet drive home with summer P Zero rubber. Fixed with Michelin PSAS4 tires. Web search for "Mercedes 4Matic crabbing", there's more than a few YouTube videos out there.
