Just want to share a sour feeling with Mercedes part quality. Bought the car 5 months ago, had the wipers rubbing and squeaky noises. Went to dealer and had the wipers & windshield changed, problem still there.

Went to service a few more times, have everything checked, wiper motor, angle, etc you name it, problem still existed and they signed off the job saying they couldn't find the issue even though I showed them the video of it.

They have been ignoring my message / email more than 2 weeks now so I decided to buy another set of cheap wiper from AliExpress and guess what, it fixed the problem completely!! I am mad and glad at the same time that I don't have to buy expensive low quality parts from them anymore.

This is such a basic function of a car. Even our 2013 Toyota Yaris never has this issue!

3 years, 60,000 miles, left side steering 2021 GLB250. Never had this problem with Mercedes OE wiper blades.

I must of got the bad batch then. This issue also spread across other models. I've seen countless posts on Reddit of the same same issue on GLC GLE etc.

But yeah I am still not really happy about how they ignored me.

Maybe there are different suppliers in different parts of the world. Your profile says NZ, so maybe you’re getting blades from China, or India.

Regardless, your dealer should never ignore you.

2020 GLB250 owner here. I have never been satisfied with the windshield wipers and I'm on my third set. They're streaky and smear the window, and the amount they charge for them is a joke. Doesn't happen with my wife's Honda.

You can try get the aftermarket alternative ones. For my case I got them from AliExpress and couldn't be happier. Very competitive price & the problems are all gone.
