How does ordering a vehicle work
All,
As a newbie to this forum, please forgive me if the question is too dumb.
I talked to several dealers and none of them has a vehicle with the options I want. So I plan to order one. According to them, that way it will take 30-90 days for the vehicle to come.
I just wonder, if then MB were running some big promotion and price then is much lower than when place the order, can I reset the price negotiation, and renegotiation?
Or, a better strategy is, wait for the vehicle with the right option and nego. with them? But that would put me in a bad position.

The way we did it last week was once we went through the configuration and came up with the MSRP, they came back and said they would give us $x off and on top of that, we would get any additional factory incentives that are happening at the time of delivery which is tentatively sitting at March right now.
You can probably re-negotiate at time of delivery but it may be tough depending on how you've configured the car. If you have the basic packages only with nothing weird (i.e. you skipped very desirable options), odds are good they would let you walk with your deposit since it would be easy for them to sell to another customer. So you could try...doesn't mean they'd bite.
I've pretty much loaded my build so they more or less told me they would be very reluctant to refund my deposit if I walk because it's a much harder sell for them at that price point.

Negotiations and the out the door figure are done after the build, before the order is placed. Trade allowance if any or down payment maybe required.
