maybe the system is plug and play. you just hook up the cable to the infotainment system.
i emailed 1 dealer about retrofit, no reply (yet).
going to email car alarm shop, custom auto shop, or bodyshop to see what they say. haha
what so tough about ionizer? it' just a system.
i bought this on amazon, i'm not sure if it really works or not.

it's freaking Mercedes fault !
it listed as "cabin fragrance system".
I don't need to spend 350$ on some freaking perfume.
if they listed as ionic air system then I definitely get it when I ordered the car. I haven't take delivery on the car yet maybe til next week. but I found a car with air balance package, hud, m. Media, night package, 19" wheels, no surround view camera for 4890$ more at different dealer. I don't care about those other options, just not sure it's worth paying 4890$ more to get this air balance package. plus it has no surround view camera, my ordered car does.

I don't need to spend 350$ on some freaking perfume.
if they listed as ionic air system then I definitely get it when I ordered the car. I haven't take delivery on the car yet maybe til next week. but I found a car with air balance package, hud, m. there is a 4 scent fragrance sample on ebay. i going to buy it and see which scent i like.
then buy the full bottle, open it and let the scent goes in the car, doing it the manual way since i dont have air balance package.

The 4 scent sampler pack also comes with the car on delivery if it has the air balance package.

i give up looking to retrofit Air Balance package.
contacted 2 dealers, no responds.
contacted this custom auto shop that helped me retrofit Bi-Xenon (HID) headlights on my 2013 C320. they also said it' a factory install option.
My ordered C450 havnt taken delivery yet maybe til end of next week.
i found a Red C450 with Air balance package but no Hand Free Access. Should i buy this car without hand free access instead of my Silver 450 with hand free access?
hand free access = open and close the truck by kicking the car.

the reason i didnt get it when i ordered my c450 cus freaking Mercedes listed as "Cabin fragrance system". i dont need to spend no freaking 350$ on perfume, that' a huge rip off. But if they listed as "Air ionic system", i definitely get it.
I haven't taken delivery on my new c450 yet, supposed to be delivery by end of this week, ending Feb 19, 2016.
and with my big mouth, i already told my parents and friends about my new car that i'm getting in Feb. so i cant build another car and wait another 2-3 months to get it.
but i found a Designo Cardinal Red Metallic c450 with all the options that my car has, plus it also have Air Balance package at a different dealer that is 400 miles away. I dont mind driving 400 miles to get it but i really prefer my ordered car with Iridium Silver Metallic.
so i still deciding should i get this Cardinal Red Metallic c450 (i prefer my ordered car with Iridium Silver) with Air Balance package.
or take my ordered Iridium Silver Metallic c450 WITHOUT air balance package and just buy a aftermarket car ionizer.

just received the 4 sample perfume that i bought from ebay.
there is nothing special about it, it smells just like a regular perfume that you can get at Macys

Had I realized that air balance did not require use of perfume or scenting and could work simply as an air purifier, I would have ordered it. The one thing I missed in my research.

just get a aftermarket car purifier at amazon, alot cheaper too.
if you want the scent, just buy a bottle and open it.

that was my question. Can the fragrance be purchased, opened and used in the vehicle? I was not aware of the option nor advised of it by the salesman. Ordered a 2023 GLE 450
that was delivered last month.

yeah. it's on ebay but beware of really low prices, might be fake. i bought the same "freeside mood" fragrance but on the 4th one, it doesn't smell the same, smell different (probably fake).
