Car and Driver road test published
The only real negatives were the ride on the 20" RF tires over "road irregularities" (on non-air suspension) and the COMMAND system. I assume some of their COMMAND issues will be resolved once one spends time with the system (guess it's not super intuitive? too many menu levels?). I do wonder about the inadvertent brushing on the touch pad changing stations, etc. They made it seem like it was a frequent occurence. Any comments on this from current owners?
I think the COMMAND system is pretty good; not the best but far from the worse. However, I do think MB overthought the new controller (star trek + wheel) since it doesn't really improve upon the user experience over a traditional wheel. I'm sure you'll get used to operating it but I was consistently trying to "pull off" the touchpad so I could wrap my hand around the wheel. I appreciate the creative approach, but I prefer the integrated wheel/touchpad Audi and BMW currently use.
The Designo interior is great and looks even better in person. I wish they made that package a little more budget-friendly because it really makes the already beautiful interior even better. Too bad Saddle brown Designo isn't available
The Designo White interior looks fantastic but does anyone know how well it wears? I've heard horror stories that jeans can stain white leather seats. Does anyone here have any experience with white (or light colored) leather interiors?

I saw a few cars at the auto expo I was at last weekend with white interior that was stained blue from the jeans of all the people getting in and out of it.
In the meantime I was googling around and say good things about Griot's Garage products and Leatherique.
Looks like resistall is something that has to be professionally applied - I don't see where you can buy it yourself.

I have a very light cream color interior in my Lexus (near white color). It will pick up light stains from dark blue jeans, BUT it's easily removed with my interior cleaner (Chemical Guys InnerClean currently). Normally it's only the side bolsters that have any visual marks. I don't find the upkeep any worse than average, but I like to keep my cars very clean.
No new ground. Likes the GLC.
Not crazy about COMMAND.
Likes LED lights.
Doesn't like Driver Assist.
