hello, i have the same issue with my merc wipers, i have c204 coupe cdi 2014. wipers was shaking and making noises.
first, i thought the wipers is faulty, so i replace new wipers from bosch, after a few good wipes, it's start to shake and making noise same like the old one.
then i thought maybe because it's aftermarket parts, so i go bought a pair of genuine mercedes wipers for $185. surprisingly, the same issue.
anyone please shares if there's any solutions. it's really annoying when driving in rain.
thanks.

Bon Ami 1886 Formula
When Bon Ami Original 1886 Formula was created it was state-of-the art, crafted to care for homes and kitchens with a gentle effectiveness that was unlike anything else on the market. The recipe was simple: tallow soap and feldspar. Bon Ami’s innovation was adding the more gentle abrasive powder feldspar to make a soap that was effective at cleaning but gentle on surfaces. We still make the 1886 Formula Cleaning Powder the same way. We find that many customers prefer this formula for specialty uses.
Bon Ami 1886 Original Formula now wears a red label to help customers identify it right away. Being more of a specialty product, it’s a little harder to find. Look for it at your local TrueValue store, Do it Best store, Ace Hardware store, or on-line at BonAmi.net.
Favorite Uses for the 1886 Formula
People write in all the time with interesting uses for the 1886 Formula Cleaning Powder. One of the most common is cleaning glass. The original formula is safe to use on most glass because the tallow soap means that slurry of the powder and a little water will glide over the glass surface, cleaning away dirt but not scratching. This formula leaves behind a slight, invisible film that protects the glass from salt spray making it a favorite for boats and seaside homes. This film keeps mirrors from fogging up in the bathroom too.
If you have a favorite use for the 1886 Formula Cleaning Powder, write us and tell us what it is.
5 simple ingredients 1886 Formula

Biodegradable cleaning agents ~ Alkyl polyglucoside

Well, finally had a good afternoon of rain here in South Florida (I know, sounds funny, but its been like two months). Went online, found the Original 1886 Bon Ami formula powder, and applied to windshield in the morning. Used 0000 steel wool, dipped in water, to apply. In the afternoon, the skies opened up, and the wipers performed admirably, finally. In both light, medium, and heavy rain.
Would like to hear from others who may have done same.
Note: have had vehicle into dealer 6 times for the shuddering issue.

Noisy windscreen wipers
I have a new C250
I also am getting the run around with the stuttering windscreen wipers
Has anyone had similar problems?
Is it fixable?
Has anyone had problems with clunking brakes?
Thanks

Both of your squawks are very common in the GLC group.
There is a bulletin out covering noisy GLC brakes. As usual parts are backordered. Delivery date unknown.

My 0.02
Hi everyone, I will throw in my 0.02 for the good of the thread:
The odometer on the GLC read 60KM. I took it on a ride, it had rained prior in the day and the road surface was wet. Some truck in the opposite lane splashed my windscreen with water, and to my pleasure the wiper blades automatically deployed, clearing the water away. They were smooth as silk, and shortly after it began to spit a light rain, so I turned the wipers to the lowest setting.
I experienced the 'judder' for 20 or so wipes, then the judder went away. The odometer now reads 260KM, and it rained again today. No issues, still smooth. I believe when the wipers are fresh out of the factory, they need a little breaking in, as most things do.

GLC wipers
Operated wipers on our new GLC250 for first time last week. Not happy Jan!! They are scrubbing and jumping even in heavy rain. Do not reach extremity of drivers side leaving a blind spot. Also an intermittent noise akin to a loose spring when they start up.

Wangyia, My wipers work perfectly. As they smoothly sweep, every bit of water is removed. And best of all they make zero noise.
Follow the doctor's (dieseldoc) orders and wipe the contact part of the blade with an alcohol swab. If this action does not completely solve the problem, it's time to thoroughly clean the windscreen.
There are any number of very good specialty automobile glass cleaning products on the market. My favorite is Dr. Beasley's, www.drbeasleys.com, 777.404.1600.
Ops, I see your driving a 250d meaning your somewhere other than the US. Perhaps Dr. Beasley's is not a good option.
If the above doesn't fix the problem then you have a more serous problem as opined by Techno and dieseldoc.
The bottom line is there is no reason your wipers should not work like mine, i.e., perfectly. Good luck!

any new updates in this area. after a few uses the wipers have gotten better, but, to be honest, they are pretty poor. i am embarrassed to having anyone driving with me when its raining! how did this subpar wiper system make it to production?

Clean blades with isopropyl alcohol. Avoid RainX and Car washes that spray wax. If needed clean windshield with a good ammonia free cleaner.m

Hi All,
My GLC went back twice for this issue first time Screen was polished with some special compound and wiper angle adjusted that failed to cure the issue.
The service manger then had a third party come in and clean it with what he descried as a light acid wash. Bang never had the problem again.
Although I've asked about the acid wash all the service guy will reveal is that the guy he use's cures the issue every time. The Third party won't say what he uses only using the term Light acid wash.!!!!!!!!

Bon Ami seems to positively affect the juddering. One needs to buy the original Bon Ami (yellow can), not the newer red. You put a little on a piece of steel wool or just a cloth even and give glass a good wipe. Rinse the mixture off and seems to eliminate most of the juddering, altho not permanently.

They likely used sodium carbonate which is also called washing soda.
It is part of the original Bon Ami formula.

Same issue here.
Manifested itself since day one, & after 8500 km
it's very much still present. Well done, Mercedes!
I'll bring it up on the 1:st service, & report back...
