If I was ever buying a new car I would tell them numerous times not to drill holes! if they do they can buy a new front bumper. find another method of mounting either the tow hook plate or something else. once you drill its a pain in the *** to plug them and its just an eye sore, at least you have the choice in a new car I bought used and now those 4 holes are limiting what I can do.

Check the laws regarding front plates where you live sometimes that can give you an idea of what to do example getting Vinyl Transfer on reflective check this out pretty sweet idea I would of done it if the 4 holes weren't so bad on my car

also I should add theres lots of good options in that thread

The dealer drills two holes allowing mounting of the plate holder.

My dealer used two self tapping screws on both my c class as well as my GLC. Same was done on my GL. Prior to that I drove without front plate until state started enforcing.

Concur that if dealer were to drill holes I would tell him it is now his vehicle. My state requires a front license plate and I do not mount it as I will not drill holes in a Mercedes. There are mounts made that are hidden under the front and slide out when needed. They are on amazon or ebay. I keep the plate in the trunk area if stopped and would say I am waiting on the dealer to obtain a front mounting plate. If I have to pay a fine I will but I will not drill holes in a Mercedes.

We are required to display front plates here in Australia.

I use Lakin plate brackets on both the front and back of my vehicle, have found them to be of very high quality and they are designed to protect the paint of your bumper, unlike some cheaper brackets which will bang and rub against the paint.
