Remote closing Windows

Is there a setting where you can close or open all windows/sunroof whilst holding the lock or unlock button on the remote?
My other cars had this option.

Yes...by doing exactly as you say - holding the button.

I just wish the opening was more logical. You have to press and hold to get the panoramic blind to open, and then another press and hold to get the windows and sunroof to open. From a distance it's hard to see the blind move and know when it's full open. You only get one chance at this sequence from what I can tell, because if you don't get it right then in order to have a second go I have to open and close a door and relock it and retry. Have I got this right? Anyone else have this experience? I wish only one prolonged press was needed, and I wish that the windows would open at the start of the sequence.

Mine doesn't do that? I thought there was a setting to turn the feature on or off

I found it hard initially to get it to work. It's a bit like a rain dance in which you have to perform the steps in absolutely the correct sequence, or no rain. If someone has any idea on how to get to work more easily and more logically, then I'm keen to hear.

So it seems it only works if the car has keyless go which is my standard in my country.
Pathetic ...my other cars without keyless have this basic feature.

I'm not sure I understand whether you have it or not, but if you don't then you're not missing much IMHO. Even in a country with hot summers, it's sufficiently hard to use compared to my last (Japanese) vehicle that I rarely do.

The remote closing of windows & sunroof been a standard MB feature for many years.

Has the remote opening operated like I describe in post #4 for this long as well? Doesn't seem logical to me.

Panoramic blind is relatively new. But holding down the lock or unlock button has performed basically the same function in my W202, W210, W164, W204. The remote sunroof feature never worked on my W163 ML500 as the first of the US built Benz's had a slightly different feature set.

Sorry to be like a dog with a bone on this, but ... There are a number of cars where holding down the unlock button opens the windows. This is fairly common. That's not the issue. Your point about the panorama roof and blind being new is probably the key one.

In my GLC you press and hold and only the blind opens - all the windows stay closed at this point. Seems silly to me. You then have to do an immediate second press and hold to open all the glass. So this arrangement of two consecutive presses, and only the second one opening the glass, this is new along with the panorama? Is that right?

If this is software controlled then it could be changed, surely. It's not easy to get this right and let the hot air out.
