Extended warranty or no Extended warranty?
I'm debating whether or not I should pull the trigger on the 3 year extended warranty after I order and take delivery of my GLC. If this was 2004 I'd absolutely go for the extended warranty but it seems in the past 8 years, Mercedes has improved the dependability (of their less expensive cars at least) over the long haul. I've seen this on reviews, CR and JD Power. I typically keep cars 5-9 years and maintain them on time as specified in the service manual. There are also good indie shops neat me that have all the diagnostic systems the dealer has.

Some choose to buy it - then make the decision before 4yr/50K miles whether to refund it or keep it in force... go recommendation to make sure you don't get "gouged" - and in 4yrs same extended new car warranty will be higher cost..

Should I purchase it at the time of delivery? I would rather not because I'd like to keep the out the door price to a minimum. I still have to get the 4 year prepaid maintenence that they claim is $1275 on the internet and I think a more expensive price was quoted at the Tucson location. Really wish they had complimentary maintenence like they do at BMW. That's actually what almost sold me on the X3 but I just liked the GLC so much better. And then there's the outrageous sales tax that the government likes to rape you with, and dealer fees, and title and license.

Prepaid maintenance - remember prepaid maintenance is not refundable or transferable in the event you sell/trade earlier than planned.
Best value - is pay 10K service out of pocket - then purchase 3-pack for 20/20/40 before checkin on 20K service - saves you a hair more..
