Correct. It might have been because I'm not local to him, but the NY dealer wouldn't even honor the 7% (shady stuff)

Herbert is a pleasure to deal with.

Are you planning to get a coupe or full size GLC?

Looking at the coupe, which launches in Jan. But if I can get 9-10% off MSRP on an order
non ED, I might just order in Jan for March delivery instead of waiting for a May pick up in Europe and not get it till July.

I'm guessing that it will be a hot car and the dealers won't want to deal as much on it, that's why I decided to do ED. My current lease is up in March, so I placed the order last month for January pickup in Germany, so it should be in NY mid March

Ordered a 17 GLC, sport pkg, pano, premium pkg in Obsidian Black last of August. Being built on the 15th November. Got a generous amount off MSRP so I'm willing to wait. Did others wait this long for a build, relative to your discount?

We ordered our car near the end of July and it will arrive in SoCal in 10 days (we got 10% off MSRP). The wait time was just what was available and had nothing to do with the deal we made.

Given the title of the thread, why did you not post the "generous amount" you got off MSRP?

Glad to see your response. Was beginning to think that the wait was too long and the discount was an anomaly. Relative to your inquiry, 10.7%. Live in Arizona and the car will also come to Long Beach as yours. I'm excited that it will be on its way soon. This is my fourth Benz.

It's a long, circuitous route from Bremerhaven to AZ

We also have a fleet discount of $500 to use on top of the 10%. I'm hoping there won't be any issues with that--I've heard stories that some dealers try to use that as part of the percentage off that was negotiated, instead of over and above the negotiated price (which is how it's supposed to work). I'll probably broach that with the SA soon.

This will be our first Benz. I'm optimistic this will be a great car for us.

Mercedes-Benz C300 (2016), Mercedes-Benz GLC300 (2017)
Picked up our GLC300 today...it is fantastic! We ordered roughly Sep 1, and it arrived at the dealer on Nov 2, so not a bad wait for the exact build we wanted. We negotiated right around 10% off MSRP.

Following is the current itinerary of that ship (10/12 Bremerhaven - 11/15 Long Beach).
Of course, any comparisons would depend on the number of stops and the speed of the ship. The Sunlight Ace isn't very fast, but I don't know the typical speed of vehicle carriers. (Mercedes uses Wallenius to ship much of the time, so their ships may follow different itineraries/speeds.)

12 Oct Bremerhaven
15 Oct Zeebrugge
18 Oct Emden
28 Oct Davisville VW
29 Oct Newark
01 Nov Brunswick
05 Nov Panama Canal
08 Nov Corinto
09 Nov San Lorenzo, Honduras
09 Nov Acajutla
15 Nov Long Beach
28 Nov KANDA
30 Nov Yokohama

A gaggle of MB's
Once the vehicle is loaded on the ship - your sales guy can pull ship name from Netstar and estimated arrival date at port...

You can track by vessel name here...

Yes, my rep emailed me 4-5x over a few week period to let me know the status, and she was spot-on with arrival date. At 1st I thought she might be just saying "it is on the water", but she then added when it arrived in port, when it would get to the dealership, and when it would be available for pickup.

Great service and a shout out to Katie at MB Buffalo, NY. I've purchased 2 cars from her and could not recommend her/dealership enough.

Hi folks, thanks much for such useful information!

I am a MB newbie and currently shopping for a 2017GLC 300 in greater Chicago area. The best quote I get so far is 7% off MSRP. I know many of you got much better deals in TX or CA, but is 7% an acceptable discount for Illinois? I saw one guy mentioned it was hard to get more than 7% in Chicago back in Aug, I guess that was when the new model just got released, so shall I wait for another week to see if I would squeeze out another 1 or 2% at month end?

Thanks in advance for all your valuable inputs!

This place is doing 15% off MSRP

Just say you would buy the car for 10% off MSRP and see how they respond. You should also try at end of the month when dealerships are trying to meet quotas. Given that's it's not even 2017 yet makes it harder negotiate because they still have a whole year to sell it.

So how do you negotiate a car you order exactly to your specifications? You just contact a dealership and tell them you want to put in an order?

Lease payments?

I made a first pass yesterday at new GLC internet pricing from three area dealers. I have heard from all three but only one has given me a price on a specific car. The quote was 10% off but it is a 2016 so I don't think it's that good but a start.

I'm interested in a lease and have a beautiful lease return, I think that may be of some value to them as there are few GLKs on the lots now. How are lease payments coming in on mid $40's models?

Yours should be here. Hope it is. Mine was, as of yesterday, still waiting for a ship. Maybe it will be a Christmas present. They can't keep GLC's in stock here. We've got a good car.

I sent my Mercedes "Build",using the online tool, to three dealerships. I got a great quote from one of the three. I wonder, after talking with the dealership yesterday, if I could still get that deal. They can't keep them in stock in this part of the world. Consumers Report best luxury SUV, amoung many other great reviews. I've never driven a GLC. I have a GLK that I think is the best Benz I've had and I know the GLC is better. Did all my buying on the internet. Easier typing and making a few calls than having free coffee at the dealership. :-)

I've been tracking the ship over the last couple of weeks, and, unfortunately, it has been delayed and is now due in on the 21st It's been hanging out down by Honduras for a few days.

Hello. Can anyone share what discounts off MSRP they are seeing for a 2017 GLC43? We're looking to test drive this weekend and want a general idea in my head of a target discount. We live in VA if that matters. Thanks!!

Help needed for Southern California purchase

First time poster here. Thanks to all on this forum for your advice and information on price negotiations.
Can other Southern California buyers/shoppers please help me identify those dealers that are willing to negotiated to ~10% below invoice? I'm in Orange County. Thanks!
