I recently ordered a MY17 GLC and was also disappointed at the new structure regarding intelligent LED headlamps. Since I was not interested in all of the driver assist packages I couldnt justify the P04 package upgrade just for the lights. I can say that by upgrading to the static LED headlamps, your taillights will also be LED per my sales rep, who also inquired to confirm.

I believe last week you can configure the GLC 43 in MBusa website for EDP. Now it's not there anymore?

I'm actually quite relieved that they have static Led's avalable now. I was concerned about how well that active headlamp technology would age.

Thumbs down 7/1 D.O.G

If the screen shot for the 7/1 D.O.G is correct, then the packages are a rip off....

In the first pic The P1 package Includes heated front seat, but in the second pic, under optional packages, it doesn't include heated front seats ?????!!!!????

The new P2 package doesn't have the surround sound system and the LED Headlamps.

Why????

I hope somebody from Mercedes Benz is reading this because the packages are getting worse and worse...

To get the Dynamic Lights, now I would have to pay for a whole bunch of things that I do not want.....

Correct, packages are cumulative. They are not a ripoff, they are actually cheaper for 2017 if you do the math

Can't believe the way I'm being treated on a $48,000 order....

I don't understand why it's so hard to get burl walnut. I was okay with the linden and then I started to hate it. It's started to look almost black to me. This may make me move up to the GLE and load it up to 78k with soft close doors, heated and cooled cup holders, multi-contour heated and vetilated front seats, tri zone climate control, heated rear seats, designo porcelain, Bang and Olufsen ect.... But the downfalls of those are, it's way way outdated compared to the GLC (number pad on the center console? Really?) and it's made at the Vance, Alabama plant. Not exactly known for their superb quality control. Mercedes-Benz needs to do something and fast! All of the sudden, out of nowhere benzes have surged in popularity. The brand delivered over a million units to customers, the first half of the year. The turn around of GLC's at my local dealer (depending on the price) is sometimes within a day. If not hours.

I just got off the phone with the sales manager, the burl wood is a stumbling block with
my order also. I told him that I didn't care if it held up the order for a month or more, I want the burl(I'm ordering the leather silk beige/espresso with beige headliner).
Got him to agree to lock in the price on the DOG for the options I want, even though all prices on the DOG are "subject to change". Still can't get over the BS on a 48k purchase.

I don't understand the issue with the burl walnut..... I ordered burl walnut also, vehicle was made in Germany June 23, shipped and arrived in US yesterday. Will pick in up at dealer in a week or so. Maybe it is something recent in last week or two?

I know! Especially since the majority of the ones I've seen have been equipped with either linden or black ash. Those are not my favorites. Oh and what's the deal with them not letting you order burl walnut with designo black? They are so picky about what options you can order with what color/finish, option, package ect... And when or how often you can order it. A few weeks ago they had tri-zone climate control available as a special order option on the DOG. This last DOG release, they removed that option. Wtf?! I'm willing to pay extra for tri-zone climate control, let more order it damnit! Im also willing to pay extra for a wood and leather steering wheel with a stitch leather airbag/horn cover, and a dynamica headliner. It's almost like they don't want you spending money.

I've talked to a few dealers, and MB is apparently dragging their feet on finalizing the 2017 option packages and pricing. The result is that cars cannot be ordered with certain packages. Right now, the Sport Package cannot be ordered because one of the components of the package is listed in the system as unavailable.

Which DOG release? The last one I have seen is dated 6/30/2016.

The 6/30 one is the one I'm speaking of. I haven't seen one dated after that.

Yeah, seems kinda lame to start production on a model(I was told July 1st
was when they started on the GLC) that you don't have all the parts you
need to build to spec.
My order is
GLC 300 in black
Prem Pk 1
Sport Pk
Night Pk
Leather Pk
Burl wood
Trailer Hitch
LED Headlamps
They could do all of those ala carte items, but don't have the burl, so
my order will probably have to wait till next month when the dealer
gets their vehicle allotments.

FYI, everyone. I've attached the 6/30/2016 DOG to the first post of this thread to help make it easier for everyone to find it.

That said, I can't believe Air Balance (P21) is part of a package (P3) now. Does anyone actually ask for that? I got the impression it wasn't worth the space it supposedly took up in the glove box.

Obsidian black, silk beige, linden wood.

Heated seats, premium 1
Burmester audio

Assuming below options come standard (am I right?)

I'm in the minority, judging from the way most GLCs come equipped, but there's no way I would get one of these cars without the Driver's Assistance package (Distronic). The availability of that safety package is one of the reasons we're getting a Mercedes.
But, although the base price is not too bad, the options add up VERY quickly on this car. Unfortunately, that may put some of the options out of reach for some.

This is just my sense from what I have seen and talking to 3-4 dealers. Most GLCs are bought by people buying their first Mercedes and often their first luxury vehicle, so most want to stay at the low end $41-45k. There are very few "loaded" stock GLCs (that are not custom ordered) that have MSRPs $48-52k. For example, a dealer may have 20 in stock but only 2-3 over $47k..... It seems there are very few with options like Drivers Assist or Parking Assist, etc...

I think most of us here who are custom ordering are getting ones fairly loaded...

Agreed. I found a 2016 that was around $62K (LOADED!) and the dealer said it was surely a special order that someone did not end up buying. He said the "sweet spot" for the GLC was around $45K, meaning that's what most buyers were looking for. He also said the majority were leases.

As has been mentioned elsewhere, pricing was released a couple of days ago. According to the SA I spoke with, the 6/30/16 DOG is still the most current, which doesn't make sense to me since the pricing is not accurate.
The only difference I could discern, based on pricing I saw, was that the P03 package decreased from $7780 to $7200. Everything else looks exactly the same.
