Stock vs AMG front end on the GLC

One of the options I was considering on the 2017 I'm ordering is the Sport
Package and the Night Package.
One of the main reasons was to change out the front grill look(get rid of the
chrome wrap around). The only other feature was the blacked out 19 inch
wheels. Turns out only the inserts are blacked out, not the whole wheel.
So that only leaves the chrome front end and I was curious if anyone has
removed it to get the AMG look? Does removing it raise a whole new set of
problems with the front apron?
Don't know if I want to spend $2200 for a chrome-less front end.

I actually think the chrome front end is a plus as it differentiates the car from other SUVs; especially the Koreans and their GMH/ Ford supply. In regards to Capt Jack's issue, perhaps a cheaper solution is to apply a stone chip wrap in the vehicle colour on the top bar and with the bottom bar in black.

Top photo shows standard and the bottom photo shows the side by side.
The large wrap around chrome strip below the grill is what I'm talking about.
They want $2200 for the two upgrades to "black on black" look. I was going to put
aftermarket black wheels on the car and thought this option would save money and
effort, but then I found out the 19" black wheels in the package aren't all black.
I just ordered the 2017 and I have some time to alter the order either way, it's just
hard to make the decision having to rely on pictures.

Aah. No wonder I was confused.

This is who my AMG styling looks.

Yup, the AMG front end styling is what you get for $2200, along with window
and roof rails in black and the almost black 19 wheels.

I also think the stock front end and silver side strips look like great on a black car. I would probably put the $2.2k towards a pair of BM silver side steps.

The amg style looks SO MUCH BETTER. If we had the option here, I would have gotten it in a heartbeat.

AMG front in this picture (from the UK). Mine won't have the silver strips as I've gone for the night pack. Less than a months time I'll post a pic

I had the same thoughts about DIY style night package. Traded for some C-Class wheels that were already were powdercoated in gloss black. And bought geniune black night package mirror caps for $170.

Possibly the night package window trim and roof rails can be special ordered. It looks like the window trim is removalable with simply interior trim tool...so assuming that can be ordered from Germany. Bumper and roof rails are probably going to be more expensive than the $2200. Interested to know.
