I tried to wire the power supply from fuse box for the dashcam. So I opened up the fusebox under the passenger side foot well, to my amazement, ALL fuses are constant on! What I need is a fuse that goes with ignition key -- it needs to cut off the power when the engine is shut off.
Can anyone help me finding such a fuse?

Test with a voltmeter when engine off?

Under the floor in the back there is another fuse box which has both switched and non switched outputs. Should be a paper diagram with all the fuse labels. Long way to run a cable though.

I want to install my dash cam but as of the moment, it only came with a cig lighter plug. I'm planning on cutting that off and just powering with an acc in the fuse box. Hopefully there is one.

Find and fuse that is switched with IGN and substitute it for one of these. We call them a Fuse Tap in Aust. Can be purchased in 2 sizes and 2 different styles. Dirt cheap. Just find a ground on the chassis somewhere and your done.
