Just picked up my GLC 43 AMG with these options:
Diamond Wite Metallic
Saddle Brown Leather
Black Ash Wood Trim
21" Tires
Panorama Roof
Head-Up Display
Factory Tailer Hitch
LED headlamps
Burmester Surround Sound
Brushed Alum. Running boards
Premium 2 Pkg
I concur with Motor Trend's review of the 43 AMG regarding the performance and handling. Plus the electronics, media, phone, Siri, streaming, voice command all seem to be well designed and integrated.
A technology consultant from the dealer called to offer a time to come to my home and walk me thru of all the electronics. Can't wait for the AMG track
day invite.

(accidentally posted in 2016 picture thread, now posting to the right place here in the 2017 thread).
Picked up my custom to order GLC43 today from Mercedes of Rocklin - it was worth the 3 month wait.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
- it feels so solid, as if someone has glued the car down to the road
- love the sound, even in eco it sounds like the car is powered by an angry swarm of bees. If you want a quiet, luxury cruiser don't get the GLC43, that M276 engine sound is omni-present. It's a drivers dream to listen to.
- I had a loaner 2017 C300 which in Eco was so underpowered - anaemic in Eco mode, flimsy and airy in comfort, but even in eco the GLC43 can't hide all that torque and it's responsive
- the Burmeister is DEFINITELY worth the upgrade. The stock sound system in the C300 is just passable, but the Burmeister is amazing. Fuller base, more vivid sound, and the surround (although as a former Dolby employee I must say 99.9% of music is stereo and upmixing music to 5.1 is artificial) is amazing
- I love my pano roof despite what folks say about weight (I'm not racing it)
- the advanced parking is mainly worthwhile for the great camera and collision detection system; the autonomous parking is a nice novelty.
- I love the 21 inch wheels, I have the titanium 5 spokes. Folks on this forum had made it sound like the 21 inches would make your bones shake going over every bump. NOT SO, on the summer Continentals the car drives over California potholes without an issue. I would say it's as comfortable (easily) as a C300, even if the suspension feels stiffer
- I got it right (for my taste) getting black paint. I am also so not into the night package. Why pay extra for plastic wing mirrors when it's cheaper to have them painted. The chrome on the front lip and exhaust looks really good.

I want to personally thank James Reemits of Rocklin Mercedes
- for giving me a killer deal. Way better than dealers in SF, Marin or the peninsular.
- the %discount applied to the base MSRP and the options MSRP
- the numbers on the paperwork matched exactly what I was expecting
- he was incredibly responsive, returning calls and emails promptly including on his days off, explaining what ship it was on, exact ETA...
- he provided a really nice loaner C300 for a couple of weeks which was really useful.
After switching from the C300 loaner to a GLC43 it's hard to believe the C300 and GLC43 are in the same 'family'. Yes there are common controls, but the GLC43 is like the red-headed stepchild - it's an AMG but it's not a track car. It's a Mercedes but feels INCREDIBLY DIFFERENT to drive than a C300 (way better, more solid, the engine is much more responsive even in eco mode).
Love the front, never mind the night package, I like the chrome lip
21 inch titanium 5 spokes, not rough at all. Drives like a dream.

Nice one Teckno, looking sweet.
I'm starting to like the coupe without the side steps.
Still prefer the SUV with steps.
What about the Elephant in the room ......crabbing?

only135km on clockat the moment, She who must be obeyed is still to start driving it. Ned to do a couple of 100km runs to sort things out.
it has Michelin normal tyres, so softer and more flexible tyre. Big test after tyres scrubbed in at 500km plus and cool, wet road with tight rounderbout.
hoping it is ok.
My GLC wagon still wearing front left tyre more than others, had front end alignment done again on it, was out again. Tyre seems to run hotter and higher psi than other three to.
Will monitor Coupe and report back over time.

@Tekno - the GLC43 feels very squat and solid on the road - like it was glued there. The 21 inch rims may be making it feel even more so on my GLC43.
Does the regular GLC have the same feel? As someone who has both thought you could speak to this well.

Hey rihalix
I've never had a black car before because I am too lazy to wash/keep the car clean all the time but your GLC43 does look good in black.
I am also not a big fan of night package because while it does blacken out a lot of places but still leave some areas with chromes that's why I didn't order it either.
I've noticed you had 21" tires, are they regular or run-flat?
I have 20" run-flat tires and tbh I don't like them that much.

The ride is great - others had posted it might be rough - not so even on our potholed roads here in California.

on reading the manual I see TIREFIT is a kit supplied when you have run flats. It includes a temporary sealant and an air pump and is stowed under the floor of the trunk.

My original build had 20" all season run flats - no TIREFIT.
Changed build to 21" summers - TIREFIT was added.
page 321 of the owner manual says:
Vehicles equipped with MOExtended tires are not equipped with a TIREFIT kit at the factory. It
is therefore recommended that you additionally equip your vehicle with a TIREFIT kit if you mount
tires that do not feature run-flat properties, e.g. winter tires. A TIREFIT kit may be obtained from
a qualified specialist workshop
