2.99% Not Available for GLC300?

The dealership received my '17 GLC300 yesterday and I went in prepared with a approval form MB Financial expecting to get the 2.99% financing no problem. Problem is they do not offer it for the GLC! I was told that MB would probably offer 5% so I needed to go through the banks. The best I could get is 4.24% for 72 mo. It's my first 72 mo loan but it was only $300 overall from what the 60 mo would be. I had my laptop with me and after going through the website and sure enough 2.99% was not offered for this model? The one thing I don't understand is why MB would pass on a competitive rate on one of their hottest selling models? I'm paying $24/mo more than before I went in the finance room with. I wasn't sure if anyone got the 2.99% or a competitive rate from MB ? I rather of stayed with them.

Wow, is this a local thing? My dealer has multiple choices for financing and didn't use MB when we purchased mine. In fact, he asked what interest I could get (Credit union) and he more or less matched it. Made the purchase real easy.
And then I switched (refi'd) to CU after the buy. Maybe I'm just lucky here.

I don't think that 2.99 is available. I have excellent credit and the finance manager said I was rated the highest and the best rate they had available from their lenders was 3.29. (I wish I had USAA!)

A gaggle of MB's
Next time - do the research - PenFed has rates comparable to USAA - with pre-planning if not ex-military/ex-civil-service - you join a PenFed "approved" non-profit vet association ($35) which qualifies you for PenFed.

Remember the OP was talking 72 months..

Keep the beat !
