Running board?
I did not select the running board for my 17 built out. Thinking of installing it at the dealership. Anyone installed running board at the dealer before? Cost? Aftermarket options?
Thanks
You might search the forum for anyone who might have already done that install.
The OE running boards will be pricey - however, MBUSA puts running board installs in the tech guide at 5/6 hrs shop labor - and install of the factory running boards (and factory nut for both sides) is like 45 min a side for 1 1/2hrs

We have them on one car and from looks only they are great, BUT, from functionality they are totally useless. Not high enough or low enough to use. You continuously step over them to reach the ground. If it's wet ot muddy, you get that "crap" all over your clothes.
I am seriously looking to remove mine, but will be expensive.
We have ordered a second GLC, with no side steps. Time will tell.

The only use I've found on a car was where in a car park they stopped other parked cars dinging the doors as they hit the running boards first. But from what I've seen the GLC ones don't even do that.
Then there is the other element, the ones on our GL have gone dull due to weather etc. They just don't look great anymore when three years old. When ordering our GLC I most definitely didn't tick the box for those things.

When my sales person asked if I wanted them on my M-B my response was not no but hell no.

The running boards are a pain. Should have a set for sale in the near future.
