USA - But to my point, if you click on that, it brings up the screen that says that in choosing this option, you must make changes to add a specific premium level. Lo and behold, the active park assist is in that package.

As an aside, I have no idea what the current conversion to US dollars is, but some of those options seem really high comparatively.

Ah! Could well be - I hadn't noticed that, because I also ordered the Premium and Premium Plus packages.

CAD$225 converts to about USD$170, so maybe it's not as high as it appears?

Does anyone know if the handsfree option can be ordered stand-alone on US cars? I ordered my GLC without the $1,500 package, but if it is available for $250 as in Canada I'd be all over it. I have it on my C300 and was shocked it was not available on the GLC.

EDIT: I posted before I saw additional responses. I will call my dealer today.

Do the standard LED headlights (i.e. not the active one) follow the direction you are steering in (BMW calls it adaptive) or they will just not move at all? Thanks guys!

Are these 2 LED systems light up the same way when you turn them on? I saw a youtube video someone with the intelligent system, the long led strips turn blue and change to white after you unlock the vehicle. I wonder if the normal LED light package will do the same.
In the market of getting one right now-- for the wife.
Thank you

so other than being active and have LED high beam, the P3 LED and the stand alone LED are similar in everything else? also on a straight line they both have the same illumination strength?
the issue is I really don't care for all the other features on the P3 package, so not sure if the active LED worth 7K upgrade when I can get something "similar to a point" for $800.

thank you

My impression is that the standard LED light is weaker than the active lights. Highbeam doesnt have a lens as the active LED does. And it doesn't pan and tilt.

Indeed, and it doesn't keep it at full strength with oncoming traffic whilst drawing a box to avoid blinding them.

The brightness of standard LED is also weaker than the xenon light on X3, don't know if it is because of the lens or color of light.

so... let try this again. The LED light option is light up the same way as the active intelligent light package on the P3 when you lock and unlock?

Likely more to do with the colour temperature. Don't forget that warmer temperatures (i.e. more yellow less bright looking light) actually help you see much much much better at night especially when wet.

He is referring to the way the 'eyebrow ' light 'warms up' when switched on (starts blue and changes to white).
l presume all the various LED options do start like this but function differently after that.

OK, so this is regarding the DRL not the LED at all

My apologies, my tongue was firmly in my cheek

As far as I'm aware the same DRL's are in use yes. Then again, I don't know anyone who went with the standard LED opposed to the ILS system. And also here in Europe we don't have those Amber bits in the headlights so it may all be different.

I wonder if the US model will do this on the basic LED option. That's all I want just to have the LED eyelids to slowly come on and changes color.
