How to repair a scratched rim [photo included]
My girlfriend has a brand new GLC300 4MATIC and today scratched her wheel on a curb. I looked up ways to repair it online, but all the examples show wheels that do not have the shiny blueish finish you can see in the pic. Is there a decent DIY way to repair this safely? Thanks!

Most dealers have access to good wheel repair specialists. Many dealers will spend thousands of dollars every month on wheel repair of demos, loan and used cars.

Damage in your photo in not diy work, that is, assuming your not employed at a wheel repair shop.
Google wheel repair shops. Or as Penn advises ask your dealer to recommend a shop. Some have mobile shops that come to your work place or home.
Good shops do guality work that when complete one cannot tell the wheel has been repaired.
Depending on the damage, repair costs are generally much less than the cost of a new wheel, especially an M-B wheel.
And upon getting the wheel repaired don't allow your girlfriend to park her shiny GLC anywhere near a curb.

Yes - professional wheel repair - thru the dealer they often will quote $200-$300 - wheel repair shop/mobile directly can be $80-$150.
If the GLC is "brand new" - and if wheel scrapes are going to be "expected" - and with Extended Mobility tires - you should ask if you can still purcahse Mercedes Wheel + Tire Protection - for future incidents and to replace punctured Extended Mobility tires if you get a flat.
We have come a long way from "silver paint rims" - and Wheel&Tire - especially with EXM tires - can be a good preventative measure to consider.
