GLC 2016 vs 2017

Hi all! I am not from USA but I do enjoy the forum participation and information sharing here compared to other forums.

I understand that USA's car usually are denoted one year ahead of the actual calender year, eg. 2017 cars are actually the current year production cars.

I do have a question though since you guys tend to make quite a distinction between 2016 vs 2017 GLC. What are the differences between these 2 production years? Physical comparison of the pictures here do not seem to have any of note.

Thanks!

I have a US 2017 and there are very few differences, other than how options are packaged for this market, plus a new color (a lighter blue) and interior (espresso). One new US option of note is that full LED headlamps are available without the active high-beam assist. Which made me happy because I didn't want to pay for the latter and I got the former.

We wanted to get the Adaptive LED Head Lights but didn't see it as an stand alone option. So we ended up with Package 3 which had the LED lights option and whole bunch of other things. I do like the bigger screen and Navi but don't care for the other stuff. I wish we could chose the options we want instead of lumping everything into packages.

Agree. I too opted for P3, but feel happy about also getting the cruise control assist which is awesome in highway traffic, especially in construction zones! Although more tech, more potential problems, I am often road-tripping in the dark, so the headlamps were important.
