New GLC300 Owner 2 questions
I've had a ton of mercedes however this car is all electronic.
1. How can I quickly reach a preset radio station? Old says I'd reach over and push the number I want. Now it seems I need to go into menus to find presets/
2. Picking up a WIFI Locked signal from a MBWLAN coming from the car. What is that and am I able to use it on phone?
Thanks

I'm not sure if there's a quicker way than activating the Preset menu view: (from page 138 of the COMAND Manual)
Presets menu view:
You can use this function to change to the station presets display.
Activating:
1. In radio mode: slide down the controller.
2. To select Preset: turn and press the controller.
3. To select Station Preset View: On: turn and press the controller. The station preset display appears.
4. To switch between the stored stations: turn the controller.
Deactivating
1. In radio mode: slide down the controller.
2. To select Preset: turn and press the controller.
3. To select Station Preset View: Off: turn and press the controller.
The advantage of this view is you can quickly pick between sat radio and fm radio presets vs. having to change the radio type first.
The built in wifi is free for the first three months of purchasing the car (part of mbrace entertain), $18 per mont thereafter but requires the mbrace secure subscription for $199 per year. It uses Verizon's LTE data and has some decent speed depending on your location.
There are multiple ways to connect to the Wi-Fi:
It shows the S-Class but it's pretty similar.
You can also read page 39 of the COMAND manual.

my dealer told me that the wi-fi is over satellite connection and is basically dial-up speed. I've experienced it around here, super slow

I just did a quick speed test tonight and got the following results:
Test Date: Oct 3, 2016 10:22 PM
Download: 2.24 Mbps
Upload: 7.05 Mbps
Ping: 147 ms
Connection Type: Wi-Fi
I guess it's like in between 3G and 4G. My phone service is through verizon and I had full bars during this test.

MB must like getting a TON of data from their drivers, lol.
