Did I get a good or bad deal at dealership?
Just purchase new 2016 GLC 300 last night.
MSRP $42,600
Purchase for $34,875
Dealer Discount $7,725, about 19% off MSRP
I also will receive all weather floor mats, all weather cargo mats, and sun shade.
The GLC300 came with wheel locks (140), open pore wood(160), panorama sunroof (1480), and car being grey (720).
How did I do in terms of pricing? First time negotiating with a luxury brand. By the way I'm in So Cal region. I did contact all the dealerships in my area and most of them discount around 2,000. Two dealers came off 4,000 and there were also few that wouldn't come off at all.
I also put 5,000 on Chase Reserve card so now I hit that 4,000 in 3 months easy.

Ofcourse you got a good deal since you completed on it. If you didn't think it was a good deal then why would you have proceeded with it.
However, now understanding the context; it is last years model, it was in stock. it is a basic'ish spec. There is a reason the dealer wants to get rid of it. Hence see my first point
As long as it is good for you, than what does it matter whether someone else agrees? For example I would not go for that spec, so regardless how much I got off the list price it would not be a good deal to me.

2 things I can think of:
- No Premium Package will likely hurt resale.
- Were you able to apply a CAN fleet discount? I think that would have been another $1K on top for 2016s.

I would have prefer the premium package over sunroof, but it is what it is. I don't know anything about fleet discount, I'm pretty sure it's just 7725 dealer discount and that's it.

This car is for my GF and I was trying to keep her in a certain range. She would have prefer to purchase used. I honestly didn't know if this was decent deal. I've never dealt with luxury car dealerships before. Most of my other cars are American, like GMC, Ford, and dodge and I know I can get 35% off with them if I was persistent. Anyways, thank you for the feedback.
