Rear Cargo Area Cover
I have a GLC43 on order. I am looking for the best & functional cargo area protection. I am curious who is using what and with what results? I like the looks of the WeatherTec but I am have 2 concerns: 1) I am concerned about getting access to “below-deck” storage compartment and 2) I am concerned about the back “lip” of the WT liner when the seats are down and I am hauling stuff bigger stuff – will it break/be ruined under weight? Anyone using it and care to comments on my concerns? Anyone have suggestions? Anyone protecting the back of the rear seats as well?

Hang loose, scrod. I just ordered one and when it arrives will let you know what I think.
I like the fact it covers the second row seat backs.

This looks promising:

Anyone have any experience with it?

I suggest you take your time installing it to make sure everything lines up well. It took me about an hour to install.
The only concern I had was with having to stick the velcro to the cargo area covering - unfortunately the material used in the cargo area doesn't allow the velcro to hook onto it. I emailed the manufacturer and asked if it could be removed when I resell the vehicle. I received a reply from the COO in less then 3 hours. Here's his reply:
In my opinion you should not have an issue. I have been doing this for closing in on 6 years and I have had 2 complaints regarding the self-adhesive in the way you are asking. No one really likes it - including me but it is the only thing we have found so far that will work.
One person said that it left some residue on their carpet and I suggested using something like Goo-gone and it worked great. Another said it had ruined their carpet. I was of course surprised and asked for photos so I could help. I never heard back.

Agree completely with EastCoaster's assessment.
Received my Camelback mat. Rugged, well made in the US, complementary appearance and fits perfectly. Money well spent.
Takes a bit of time to install. Better if two people are doing the job. Doing so makes it much easier to achieve a wrinkle free installation.
If one is interested in keeping their cargo compartment like new, the Camelback is the solution.
Highly recommended!

Got one too per the suggestions here (THANK YOU ALL!). It took myself and my husband about an hour to complete the install (we were taking our time, and did some prep cleaning work before installation as well). We have a black labrador who now gets to ride in the cargo area. Cleaning is a breeze, his fur comes right off with vacuuming, and the surface is easily cleaned with wiping down with soap/water.
