Software Updates?

Folks:

Does anyone know anything about if and when Mercedes rolls out software updates, and if so, what those updates are for?

For example, will there by any updates to COMAND to make it less sucky? Will Carplay ever be added?

(FYI, Tesla has had nearly twenty updates (several of which were major updates) over a four-year period.)

Mercedes lags on this. I did take mine in recently because of the eyebrow light coming on, so they did an update. Wasn't sure what to expect but the eyebrow thing went away and the transmission shifts are so much better. If you don't complain they don't do anything. Squeaky Wheel.

Alas, that requires that the car be Android Auto-compatible. The GLC is NOT! Just as it is not Carplay-compatible.

But what's weird is that the 2017 GLA and GLE are compatible with both CarPlay and Android Auto. I assume that the GLC was not made to be compatible only because it came out earlier --- but then shouldn't they be updating the software to catch up with the GLA and GLE?

I'm assuming that the car does have the computing power to run both Android Auto and CarPlay. Wouldn't a software update do the trick? :/

Well, yes. I assume so. That's what I said in my prior message. But to do a software update MB has to provide it! Have they done so? Does anyone know how to figure that out?
