The F-Pace won over the GLC43 due to extreme wintry driving condition, which mean the F-Pace has a better AWD system. ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
All these three car are great, doesn't matter which one you go with.
Matteus, any news with your F-Pace yet ? and Are you ready to become a celebrity once you receive your F-Pace?![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I know Matt cancelled his 43 for fear of the scrubbing issue, I continued with mine and at moment all is well. If you want a good looking car go for F pace or discovery sport, if you want a well built car go for GLC, too many quality issues with Jaguar/Land rover built cars and that's why I didn't buy another. I am delighted with my choice at the moment, lots of little things better in Merc, My Discovery sport was over £50000 and didn't even have seat belts that the height could be adjusted.

I drove an F-Pace and the GLC43 back to back. I did not like the F-Pace throttle response and the F-Pace seemed bulkier than the GLC43.

Obviously the normal everyday word "week" isn't good enough!!!😂

Giving timelines in 'decade' is MB thing. I've never heard of it before either. I was told build in 3rd decade of march. They could have said build can be anywhere from March 21 to March 31 too.

F-Pace is bigger but lighter. Not sure what version of the F-Pace you drove, but I would have to say that the throttle response on the V6 supercharged F-Pace was better than the AMG 43 IMO. You would expect this as well given that there's no lag from supercharging (driven off the crankshaft)unlike turbo charging (driven off exhaust gases).

No it's not lighter.. This MT article shows it at the bottom. Ironic considering it is less than 3 inches longer and 1 inch+ in width and height yet weighs ~200 lbs more even with aluminium used for the entire body...

Like I said based off motor trend's own table. And of course a 2L petrol turbo is going to be lighter than a 3L petrol turbo. And I highly doubt its only 110lbs between the 2 and 3L GLC because MB usa certainly does not state as much.

Incidentally, are you saying your Fords are supercharged? I thought they were just normally aspirated V8s?

Fair enough - let's agree to disagree, though if you read my post again, you'll see that I said that supercharging means no lag - that was kind of my point.

I ordered a GLC 43 which should be arriving next week. Its fully loaded, I think it comes with a butler
.
I looked at the Porsche Macan, F-Pace and Rover. F-Pace is a beautiful design but poor quality, which drives me crazy.
With regards to driving in snow. A few years back I drove my wife's 2010 E350 4matic in 12 inches of snow un-plowed and on ice on all season tires. My son was following us in his Acura MDX and could not keep up. The only problem I had was the distronic cruise control disconnected because the sensors were covered with snow. Of course who in their right mind would drive in these conditions with cruise control?
Her car has night vision which is great because you can see the smile on the deer's face before you hit them
Poor Bambi!
I drove my 2013 Audi S4 in 20 inches of snow un-plowed on all season tires. That car is awesome in snow. the engine was tuned and puts out about 425HP.
But when the snow gets really bad I drive my 1987 Land Rover Defender 90. 12" ground clearance, BIG truck tires and air locking differentials. Like all Land Rovers it's a pile of loose bolts but easy to fix and parts are cheap. And if anyone gets in my way, I can drive over them![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Just read the articles on the GLC63. Maybe I should have waited!
