Hi all,
My wife and I are very close to buying a GLC43 as her daily driver. She currently has an Audi Q5 and it's pretty bulletproof in the snow. In reading some of the trade rags, they seem to question the GLC43's ability in bad weather.
Anyone have any real-world experiences they can share about the GLC43 in the snow? My daily driver is an M4 and is totally useless in inclement weather, so we need her car to be capable. We'd be getting the 20" rims with all-season tires.
Thanks for your feedback!

I have a GLC43 on 19s with Pirelli Scorpion winters and no problems in a variety of conditions last week in Bavaria including packed snow.
Choice of rubber will be far more important than having 4 wheel drive for road use-

Same here. 19" with Scorpions. Had a bunch of snow, sleet and rain over the last few months and its great.

GLC43 is only OK in the snow with all season tires, but with a set of snow tires set, it is very good in the snow.

Put a set of snows on my Wife's Acura TLX shawd and it will go through most anything unless it's up past the undercarriage. I even put some on my son's Civic SI and they make all the difference in the world.
I'll be getting a set this fall for my GLC43 that's for sure.

You'll be fine with the all seasons. We just got 2 feet of snow here and i was out the whole time in the glc no problems. up hills down hills, unplowed roads, didn't matter. Are there better cars in snow, of course, but unless you plan on sticking a plow on the front don't worry you'll be fine.Originally Posted by wj100
