Will be Glc43 in few weeks
Same if you order those 2 in the wrong order via the web public site (configurator) in Belgium, France and even Germany.
But at the dealer, they have a more advanced ordering program and via this one, you can order the 2 without any problem (I checked myself onsite in MB-Germany and MB-Belgium)

Went in to order my 18GLC300 today and I couldn't get the system to allow the silk/beige mb-tex interior with my configuration. Had to go with the black mb-tex which I don't love. Anyone know what's wrong here? I'd love to fix it before build+delivery.

Yuck. Well this sucks royally. I was really looking forward to the Lunar Blue + Beige interior. Black doesn't give the same feel, plus now I don't know what kind of trim to use. A picture here earlier shows black interior w/ black ash trip which looks fine, I guess. What do others like w/ the black mb tex?

There is another thread where this is discussed - yes, you can have both (park assist + hitch) BUT it depends on the market. US is not one of those. If you want both AND can order both - go for it. If you're in the US, decide on what you want and order it.

Silk beige interior is a dilemma for car makers. Some customers prefer them because they don't heat up in the sun. But they're of limited appeal outside of certain demographics and/or in sunbelt areas. where I live, Denver, the dark interiors sell better. If this was AZ or FL the silk beige cars would probably be flying off the lot.
Also worth noting that in my area a lot of people use the GLC for outdoor activities (I know, it's crazy) and a light interior is out of the question. A dark interior, all weather ability, and a functional roof rack are more important.
Unfortunately they're limiting the silk beige choices for '18.

I still feel like this must be some mistake. Why would any luxury maker roll back an option like this? Did the do it for the C-class? You can still get all the colors for the AMG43. If I wanted to get stuck with a choice of black or off-white I'll buy the new Mazda CX5 (don't scoff, it's a great vehicle). I can guarantee BMW and Audi will have a full color palette to choose from. MUST be a mistake.

I actually went into this purchase intending to buy a 2018 Q5. I was disappointed with the new Q5 for several reasons. The interior is typically the best part of an Audi, but the new one is not as nice as it should be. The Mercedes display was just a few yards away at the Denver Auto Show, and so we walked over and got in a GLC. We looked at each other and it was like BAM "here's your next car." That was it.
As for the X3, it's super old but a new one's coming. I was tempted to wait for it. For those who can wait a few months I think it's going to be a good alternative. Here's their teaser video:

Yeah my M235 lease is up at the end of the year so I'm in no rush. If MB persists in the foolishness, then my plan is just to wait until the all new Q5 and X3 drop and see how those look.

The Q5 is at dealers now. It's super nice but I preferred the GLC after trying both. You might love it though. Go drive one and let us know!

The thing which bugs me about the new Q5 is that it uses that new Ultra AWD system which is basically FWD until it detects slippage and then sends power to the back. So that's not a full-time AWD system (to me anyway) but rather something closer to the CLA45.
Even the GLC43 and C43 being 31/69 torque split bugs me a little since I'm considering one of them for my next car and the reviews don't show them to be as sturdy in the snow as traditional 45/55 4Matic. I will need to test drive to find out - but I know for sure the Q5 is off the table for me.

Figured so - it happens so no worries. But yeah I don't think the Q5 would beat the GLC. Q5 is a great vehicle but I think the new GLC beats it in a lot of areas. I do like that the rear seats can move forward and backward and can recline - hoping that future GLCs do that too.

It's quick and nimble, however. The GLC felt a little heavy by comparison. I'll give it that.

I came to a similar conclusion. I wanted to like the Q5 but Quattro ultra, no thanks. And the 7-speed DSG. I prefer the ZF 8-speed. Add my concerns about the first year of production in a new factory, and the pricing, and the hard seats and plain interior. The Q5 went off the table for me too.

It would be nice if they offered a GLC400 with a 3.0L V6 with the original output of 329hp/354tq. That would be a great compromise - better acceleration than the 2.0L and probably a lot better on fuel than the AMG powerplant.

Just re-read over the ordering guide and saw this:
AMG Line
So....I was going to buy a diamond amg grill but I guess I don't have to anymore??
- 772 – AMG Body Styling
- P29 – AMG Line Interior
- P31 – AMG Line Exterior
- Diamond Grille in chrome
- Flat-bottom Steering Wheel
- Front brakes with perforated discs and Mercedes-Benz lettered calipers
- Aluminum Pedals
- AMG Floor Mats

No Sport package for '18. It's now the "AMG Line" package which includes all the stuff you noted. Also worth noting, if you order the heated steering wheel, it will be the regular round wheel instead of flat-bottomed.
