The sound definitely leaves a lot to be desired. It's a good thing the GLC is my wife's car because I couldn't tolerate it for more than a drive or two every week. The Harmon system in her previous ML (or my recently sold C300) was folds better, especially bass wise.

I wonder what type of music you're listening to.
For me, I listen to mostly POP music.
I have my system set at bass = +3, mid = 0, treble = +3, and I do find some songs are very rich with bass.
Of course this my own preference to listen music and I am sure someone else might have a complete different settings and music taste.

A little bit of everything really. It's not a "bad" system, definitely folds better than the standard audio system (not sure what that says about a $40K+ car), but just doesn't sound as good as the competition or the previous Harmon systems in the MB cars.

Maybe not usefull as referance but I got a Sonos Play:5 in my kitchen. Small cabinet and 3 elements and play (do NOT come throwing Adam tensor as stand-alone speakers back at me) way better over the entire range. It goes deep and packs a good amount of low range frequency at the right places. I use some of Hans Zimmers work for referance and you need play too loud with the Burmester to get any sense of feel on the deep range frequency that he puts in his music.

2020 GLC 300 4Matic - Brilliant Blue/Black MB Tex, Premium Pkg, Multimedia Pkg,Parking & Driver Asst
Of all the things I love about the GLC so far (it's only been a week), the biggest disappointment has been the Burmester system. From the description, I thought it was going to be a significant upgrade from my old vehicle (2006 BMW 330i with HK system). In my BMW, I had different profiles to select to process the surround sound (Cinema, Concert, etc), but there doesn't seems to be any way to have the system deliver "room filling" sound except to just select whether surround sound is on or off, and what seats to focus on. Also surprising was the lack of a true equalizer along with the normal bass, treble, midrange adjustments. Am I missing something?
Also, on a slightly different note regarding the system. Is there a way to adjust the aux (media) sound volume coming from the source? I have an ipod touch hooked in, but the sound defaults very low, and I have to turn up the volume significantly. The problem is if I switch back to the radio, it'll blast my ears off and send me scrambling to lower the volume if I forget to do it beforehand.
One last question, and apologies for the off topic in this thread. Is there a way to toggle between analog and HD digital FM signals? In some areas that I travel the HD signal gets lost and just goes silent.
