Problem with iPhone connection

I'm not sure if this happens to anyone else. I've plugged in my iPhone 6s Plus into the USB to play music and on the media page it just gets stuck on the activating device page. Previously it worked and I was able to see the album picture on my screen etc. now I can only go through Bluetooth and that sounds no where near as nice as through the USB.

Anyone have a solution?

Have you tried a hard reset of your phone? If not, I would try 2 ways. Do the hard reset, then plug it in and see what happens. If still the same, unplug, shut car off, turn car back on, plug in phone so everything is running and then try the hard set again. If you are not familiar with a hard reset, simultaneously hold the Home button at the bottom and the power button at the top. Keep holding them down until the screen goes plank. Keep holding until the Apple reappears on the screen and then you can let go. This also shuts off most things that have been running in the background.
