Climate mode
I see in the manual a climate mode setting where you can change the setting to diffuse focus or medium. I do not see this menu, curious what this is and if I am just not getting to it but actually should be

see page 272. You may or may not have this option based on how the vehicle is equipped. It changes the number of vents active.

Out of curiosity, any idea what package? I have the air freshener system (which I have yet to use - does anyone have feedback on this) perhaps that's why I don't have it?

It's in the car only because it came as part of the P03 option package for 2017 USA models.

I really wanted Thermotronic in my Australian GLC43 because my C300 in Malaysia had it, but I was pissed when it wasn't an option. Even Malaysian GLC 250s have Thermotronic as standard.
It's amazing how Australia can make Driving Assistance Package Plus in the GLC 250 as standard but not make Thermotronic optional.
