Presets

so i have added radio station presets, and when i go to preset view i assumed when scrolling through the stations it would scroll only through the presets - but it seems to be scrolling through all channels on XM. can i just scroll through my presets?

Yes you can scroll only thru your presets. Go to radio then presets. And click presets and leave it there.

to be a tad bit more precise, Go to radio, then hit radio button again, then turn knob to presets, then hit knob down. Now you should be able to scroll using knob (assume you are using, since using touchpad is ... well, crazy)

I don't use the touchpad. It is a pain in the butt. I use the control knob/wheel. See page 169 of the Command manual.

Thanks, i saw that screen but wasn't very intuitive to me. appreciate the detail i will give it a try

i too am not a big fan of the touchpad - the only time i use it is the two finger swipe while on the nav screen which allow me to see the radio channels and i can change from there

so basically sounds like i cant go preset to preset while on the nav screen - the nav screen which i have on 99% of the time while driving

i cant believe they couldn't provide a couple dedicated button to swipe through the presents without doing a bunch of motions. the swipe up and change is nice but its still two steps for something that most people do a lot when driving

all this technology and silly little things you do all the time like change radio channels is more complicated and not less..

you can get to preset from nav screen. press the little nub thing on the middle bottom of the touchpad which brings up the current station. then swipe left or right to whatever preset you want.

My 14 c class has the 0-9 buttons. I like that better.

You can also use the voice control to change stations, even when you are on the Nav screen. Just press the voice button and say "Preset 3" or whichever one you want.

As was mentioned, if you have your Nav map on most of the time, your best bet is to change channels via the dash screen in front of steering wheel.

Thanks everyone, was able to get presets working and changing the driver screen to radio seems to be the best option.

Does amaze me though that when on the dash screen if scrolling up or down it goes to the list and a second tap goes to the next station. I would have thought one tap to move it to the next tation would have made more sense, but like the double swipe on the touchpad i guess minimum two actions on everything makes sense for the engineers at MB
