The phasing out of Mbrace and issue with Mercedes Me
An FYI...So as the Mbrace app is being retired and Mercedes Me takes its place, my new S8 phone has a device maintenance feature. Every time i have run it in last month since buying new phone, it has indicated that Mercedes Me is running in background and in the #1 battery usage position. It promptly requests permission to shut it down. Perhaps a good idea to force stop the app after using it to save phone battery life.
Another thing I am experiencing (perhaps you are not) is that the app more reliably works when shutting down WiFi, and operating on data. Not sure why.(then turn WiFi back on after starting car remotely or whatever).
I find the remote start feature quite cool, literally and figuratively, as in South Florida it helps to start the car 5 min or so before walking out the door in summer (as long as you remember to crank fan to level 4 or higher before leaving car
)

Agree with you about the S Florida heat and being able to cool the car down. Can't help you with your new phone my android phone does not run ME in the background it shut down completely. Another feature I like is being able to send addresses to the navigation system inside the car or out.
