Rust on new GLC300?

Rust on new GLC300?
I purchased my new 2017 GLC300 about 3 weeks ago. Yesterday I noticed what appears to be rust near the door handle on the rear passenger door. See attached photos.
I'm taking the car into the dealership for service and a thorough rust inspection this week. Is this something I should be worried about? Any advice on how to ensure the service department addresses this issue correctly?

Don't believe that's rust but a corrosion preventative material.
Last summer as the outside air temperature increased I noticed a similar looking material dripping from both front door drains. It took two attempts to remove it. After which there was no recurrence.
