Smile Driver Seating position

Hey Guys,

This is my first SUV, so was wondering if anyone can advice or share their seating positions in the poll.

What do you think the best seating position for comfort and manoeuvres ? I remember when i was getting my first driving license many years ago my instructor suggested i should seat so my eyesight is in the middle of the windshield

Would be great to hear experiences.

Everybody's different took me a week to find perfect seating/eye level zone for myself. Drive around adjust everything till you find your comfort zone.

In addition to the seating position, comfort will also be influenced by how you adjust the lumbar support as well as how you adjust the height and extension of the steering wheel.

Once you have a comfortable position, be sure to record it in one of the seating memory buttons.

+1

Took me a while to find a seating i liked. Perhaps one of the problems is there are too many options! Thankfully there is more than 1 memory position as i would save one i liked and then often go back to the last one.

Not to mention the steering wheel adjustment. Lots of different combinations.
What I found to be just as important was how my hand fell on the COMAND controls. If the seat was too far toward or too low down, it made for an awkward reach to turn the dial or change the volume. Also, I usually drive with one hand resting on the center armrest.

I like having my seat higher, but the top of the steering wheel blocks the top part of the instrument cluster. I have to lower my head and look under the steering wheel to see the front parking sensors. And the main area on the speedo (40-80) is blocked, but I get around that by using the digital speed, which I LOVE! Had it in my Prius. I know I can raise the steering wheel (which I have pretty high too), but then it's too high to keep my hands on comfortably. I can't believe I'm built THAT much different that everybody else.
