Easy Exit

I don't understand why MB would make the steering wheel move up for ease of exit but not have the seat move back as well...does anyone else have this complaint?

I would think they could do an update to program both wheel and seat to move to an easy exit position....

We used Memory setting 3 set to the lowest seat position. My wife is only 5 ft tall and it helped a great deal. But yes, I agree the seat should lower as well.

My guess : the seat doesn't move back automatically because there could be a tall person in the rear seat and their knees would be crushed by the automatic seat movement. $1,000,000 lawsuit against MB would ensue because of their poor design.

About 7-8 years back it use to do it on SLK. Maybe a safety feature for people at the back.

probably the same reason you have to hold the memory presets to move into position
