Talk about an unnecessary comment and blatant attempt to start s**t. And they New Yorkers are the rude ones? Apparently people from Indiana are just straight a$$holes.
So what if he wants to change the look of his car? He bought it - who are you to question what he does.

I think the OP`s car is looking absolutely awesome. I`m planning on doing the same on my Selenit Grey-one with night package. Not sure, if the ugly plastic trim gets shiny black painted or foil-coated.

Are you planning to paint those black trim to match body color or shiny black?

Here in Germany, BMW offers an option for the X-Series, called M-Package. This includes the trim matching the body colour. I really like it, makes the car look more elegant.
But, as I said before, I`ve got the Night-Package which includes two, already painted elements in shiny black in the front and rear bumper. And my car is on AMG multi-spoke wheels/black polish.
In my opinion, the trim all around in shiny black would be the perfect match for a grey GLC with NP.
But these plans are on ice, because the guy, who will do the work has shut down his business for well known reasons.
