Nav Mute

I hit the mute button to mute the phone while a nav voice prompt was on and it muted subsequent nav commands. also did this a couple of times when muting the radio

is there a way to turn the voice command back on without turning car off and on again?

Thanks!

I think if you bring the Nav screen up with the different options you can go to, you'll see a speaker in the middle of the bottom bar. Highlight it and turn the voice on and off there. I'm doing this from memory, but if you look around that bottom bar there's a speaker there somewhere. Happened to me recently and my wife noticed the speaker there. It's not real obvious.

I am not sure if this answers your question but I turn navigation audio off and on frequently by using the voice command "Guidance Instructions Off/On." I think it's the second menu item down when you bring up voice commands in the navigation screen.

Just rock the round dial back, menu will come up and RPT will be highlighted. Push down on the dial and voice is back on.

This is much easier than the solution I mentioned, but I have a question...what does RPT mean, repeat? If so, why does that turn the sound back on? I guess it doesn't matter if it works!

In our GLC, when you're navigating to a destination there's an icon in the lower menu bar that has an symbol for sound that looks like an ear with a few sound waves approaching it. I assume this is what people mean by RPT. Select this option and the current navigation instructions are repeated. I guess the idea is that if you wanted them repeated, then you must also wanted them turned back on. Makes sense to me.
