Another souvenir from EDP trip?
Its been several months since my May EDP trip and guess what showed up in the mail a few days ago? A letter with a link to the attached picture of a nice new GLC driving on an Italian highway. Included with the letter was a 148 Euro citation, in English interestingly enough. I thought about not paying the fine since I may never return to Italy, but I decided I am obviously guilty, so I should own up to it. I sent the check today. Now I have another souvenir,
Does this count as my official GLC picture?

It is in the fine print on the photo, I was doing 118.9kmh in a 90kmh zone. I guess I got use to the 130kmh roads in France. I did learn some interesting info. from reading the citation and the web site with the photo. There is a 5% kmh grace limit. That is, the web site says they only ticket when the speed is >5% over the speed limit. The ranges for tickets are <10kmh over limit, 10-40kmh over limit, and 40+kmh over limit. In addition, they have 1 year to catch up with the owner of the car. According to the web site, if they don't ticket you within one year you don't need to pay.
